A decade later, the circle closes

Archæographies: Excavating Neolithic Dispilio, published by Archaeopress in 2013, was based on the photo-blog Visualizing Neolithic, which was launched in 2006.

Archæographies: Excavating Neolithic Dispilio – X (i.e. 2013-2023) treats the initial Archæographies as an archaeological artifact, encircling the experimental project of depicting the excavation of the lakeside neolithic settlement of Dispilio.

archæographies: excavating neolithic dispilio was published in 2013 by Archaeopress: a photo-essay that captured the visual experimentation on the excavation topos of the neolithic settlement of Dispilio.

In 2023 the 48 spreads that formed the printed body of archæographies, a ten-year-old archaeological artefact, are being reformulated in a new photo-essay, archæographies: excavating neolithic dispilio - X
